SSC CGL New Online Exam Pattern 2016 Tier 1, 2, 3 Syllabus

Latest announcement by Staff Selection Commission about syllabus for Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) for Tier I, Tier II, Tier III &IV exams for the present academic year 2016. The candidates who have applied for the Combined Graduate Level Examination can check the Tier I, II, III, and IV examination syllabus for the academic year 2016.The revised position of the syllabus is mentioned below.

Notification Details for SSC CGL 2016 Online Exam:-

  • Conducting body:- Staff Selection Commission – SSC
  • Name of exam:- Combined Graduate Level Exam
  • Tiers:- I, II, III and IV
  • Academic year:- 2016
  • Status:- Release of revised syllabus for CGL Tiers

The commission has decided to reduce the 200 question to 100 question in Tier I exam and exam should be completed with in time period of 75 minutes. SSC – Staff Selection Commission has also decided that Tier I and Tier II exam will be online OMR Computer Based examination for the present academic year 2016. The Tier I examination has scheduled on 27th August 2016.

Revised scheme of Tier I examination 2016:-

Tier – I Topics covered Marks Time
Computer Based Examination A- General Intelligence and Reasoning for 25 questions

B – General Awareness

C- Quantitative Aptitude

D – English Comprehension

Duration of time will be 75 minutes.
Total questions 100 Total marks 200

There will be negative marking for Tier I examination.

Tier II syllabus details 2016:-

Negative marking system will remain unchanged for Tier II.

Revised syllabus for Tier III and IV 2016:-

SSC has decided to introduce the Descriptive Paper English/ Hindi as Tier III. The question paper will be bilingual and candidates will be having the option to choose any one medium.
