Railway Recruitment Board is going to conduct the exams for the candidates who have applied for various posts available in the department. This exam is going to be conducted on various exam centers on different dates and in different shifts. The candidates who have applied can check the details below about the exam dates and other process below.

The candidates can check the official website for the Answer key for the 3rd shift exam which was conducted on March 29th 2016. The RRB officials have commenced the exam on March 29th 2016 successfully and now will conduct the other exams in different regions as decided. This exam is conducted in various shifts and in various regions. It is the online based exam based on different topics.

The exam in various regions is going to be commenced on following dates. The dates are mentioned below. The candidates can now also check the exam syllabus below and prepare well for the exam. RRB NTPC Exam dates and Timings:

Exam dates:

March 28th, 29th, 30th & 31st 2016.

April 2nd -7th,

9th –only in 3rd shift,

10th– only in 3rd shift,

April 11th, 12th, 16th, 18th, 18th, 22nd, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th.

Time of Exam:

Shift 1: 9am to 10.30am.

Shift 2: 12.30am to 2pm.

Shift 3: 4pm to 5.30pm.

Exam Syllabus and Exam Pattern:

The paper is based on multiple choice questions for 100 marks. It is going to be commenced for 1.30hrs. each question carries 1marks and 1/3rs is deducted for each wrong answer.

The division of marks & subjects:

  • General Science: 30marks.
  • Arithmetical ability: 25marks.
  • General knowledge: 20marks.
  • General Intelligence: 25marks.
