JEE Main is a national level entrance exam organised to provide admission to candidates into engineering and technological courses offered by several private, government and funded institutions including institutes like NITs and IIITs. The JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) Main 2016 Exam is a two tier / stage exam. The first stage is JEE Main, which is entry to the B.Tech courses offered by the various colleges including IIITs and NITs. Those who qualifies the Main Exam 2016 will be eligible for JEE Advanced entrance exam which is entry / gateway to B.Tech Program offered by various institutes like IITs. To offer admission IITs will also consider the score of GATE 2016 to provide admission in B.Tech course.
JEE Main Participating States
Various states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Nagaland and Odisha will be participated in JEE Exam to offer admission to candidates. Candidates who are interested and willing to take admission into various courses in this states can fill their JEE Main 2016 entrance application through online mode. Based on state level entrance test rank this states offer admission to the candidates.
Before applying application check for the eligibility from the information brochure through online at official website. From the first week of November the JEE Main 2016 application will be available through online at official website of the JEE Apex Board. Aspirants can apply for JEE Main 2016 entrance exam through online mode only no other mode of applications are accepted. Online applications will be closes in the last week of December.

JEE Main 2016 Correction
Every year the board declared the correction period of the applications form it will be starts from second week of January. In case any candidates has committed mistakes during filling application form such as provided wrong information about educational details, personal details, scanned photo or thumb impression can make correct during this correction period by log in official website within specified period, this is the last chance given to the candidates to correct the information they provided in the application so be careful during filling application.
Pattern of Examination
JEE Main 2016 will be consists of two papers. The candidates willing for the B.Tech/B.E must attend the paper 1 or the candidates willing for the B.Arch/B.Planning must attend the paper 2. For architecture candidates should have valid marks card / rank card of NATA 2016. Aspirants may apply for the both papers. The paper 1 will be contains the objective type questions and questions are related to the subjects as Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. The paper 2 will be contains three sections. The sec one will consists of objective type questions from Mathematics, sec 2 will contains objective type questions based on aptitude skills and part three will of drawing test.
Paper one will be conduct through both paper pen base exam and computer based exam while paper two will be through the pen and paper mode only. For both papers time duration will be of 3 hours each. The total question in paper 1 are 90 and each correct answer will hold 4 marks while each incorrect answer will deduct 1 mark.

Candidates should meet eligibility criteria to apply for JEE Advanced 2016, the age of the candidates should be match with the age limit given in the notification, Candidates should born on or after 1st October 1991 for general and for SC / ST /PWD on or after 1st October 1986.
The candidates should have completed class 12th or its equivalent examination from a recognized board with PCM group with minimum 50% in score subjects. Only three times candidates may attempt the JEE that to in consecutive years. Candidates who has completed their class 12 exam in 2014 or earlier are not eligible for JEE Main 2016. Candidates should have completed class 12th either in 2015 or 2016.
