IBPS RRB OA (Assistant) Syllabus, OS (Officer) Exam Pattern 2016 Prelims & Main

Candidates will be selected on the basis of written exam and interview session followed by scrutiny of documents. Interview session is not necessary for Assistant grade as per central govt. new rule. Here we will let you know about exam pattern and syllabus which is being considered for Regional Rural Banking exam. It Consists of two levels

  1. Prelims Objective test.
  2. Main Exam.

IBPS OA (Multipurpose) & Officer Scale-1 Prelims Pattern

  • Two Sections – Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude.
  • No of questions: 40 questions in each subject.
  • Maximum Marks: 80 marks.
  • Duration: 45 minutes.

There will be negative marking as well in the written paper. Based on the marks secured in written exam, the applicant will be called for further process.

IBPS RRB OA OS Syllabus to prepare for written exam:

Reasoning:

Analogy, Puzzles, Syllogism, Coding-decoding, Blood relations, Alphabet Series, Number Series, Input output, Causes and effects, Direction problem, Sitting arrangement(Straight, Circular etc.), Decision making, Data Sufficiency,    Nonverbal Series, word formation, Statement and conclusions, Statement and courses of action, Statement and assumptions, Statement and arguments, , Passage and conclusions, Odd figures, Mirror/water image, etc.

Numerical Ability:

Simplification, Number System, Pipe and cistern, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Permutations and combinations, Work & Time, Time & Distance, Pie charts, Bar graphs, Line graphs. Mixed graphs, Mixtures & Allegations, Simple Interest & Compound Interest & Surds & Indices, Probability, Sequence & Series, Averages etc.

General awareness:

Current affairs, Countries/Currencies, Census, Indian Economy, International Economy, Banking terms, Books & Authors, RBI, Fiscal-Monetary Policies, Social Function of Banks, UNO, Marketing, Government Schemes, Awards & Honors Sport, Finance, Agriculture, History of Banking and other things related to banking industry

 

Computer knowledge:

Computer fundamentals, Basic Software & Hardware and their functionalities, Computer Architect, History of Computers, Generation of the computer, Networking, Computer abbreviation, Microsoft-office package, Internet use, Shortcut keys, Security Tools, Virus etc.

 

Hindi and English Language:

Grammar, Paragraph writing, Fillers, Para Jumbles, Synonyms, Antonyms, Cloze Test etc.
